Wimbledon has trained in Muay Thai since the age of 6 years old, with his first professional fight at the age of 7 years old.  He has had over 200 professional fights in Thailand.  Over his career, he placed No.1 in Lumpinee Stadium, Rajadamnern Stadium and Omnoi Stadium.  His last fight was a title fight in 2013 in Thailand.  He has taught muay thai for over 20 years in Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, China and New Zealand.  He can speak English, Thai and Cantonese.  Wimbledon's specialty is clinching and knee.

Amy

Amy first began her muay thai journey in [2020?] at Wimbledon Muay Thai.  She initially trained for fitness and leisure, but began competing in [2021?] and has never looked back. Her style is [muay bok?].  Amy teaches in the kids classes and beginner adult fitness classes.  She also helps to prepare fighters at competitions.

She has previously trained in krav maga and taichi and in her spare time she participates in action acting, singing and playing the guitar.  Amy's [xxx qualifications are in the IT industry] and she facilitates wellness workshops.  Amy can speak English and Chinese. 

Jared

Theresa has trained in muay thai for over 10 years.  She initially trained for fitness and leisure, but began competing in [2020].  Her style is muay khao.  Theresa has previously trained in boxing and aikido.

Theresa comes from a corporate background.  She has since taken a break from the gym and competing but she continues to manage the business and financials.

Martin

Martin has had an interest in muay thai since a young age.  He began training when he was 15 years old and began competing shortly after [when was first fight?].  He recently travelled to Thaliand for holiday where he also trained and competed in Thapae Stadim.  His style is [xxxxxxxxx?].  Martin enjoys following current fighters in One Championship and [xxx thai fight shows?] and studies new techniques online.

Martin has worked in the fitness industry for over [xxx?] years.  He teaches kids classes and adult fitness and sparring classes.  He also prepares fighters at competitions.

Mike

Mike began training in muay thai in his hometown on Waiheke Island and joined Wimbledon Muay Thai when he moved to Auckland in [2020?] and began competing in [2021?].  His style is muay khao. 

 

Mike has previously trained in jujitsu.  Mike teaches in the kids classes and beginner adult fitness classes.  He also prepares fighters at competitions.  Mike can speak English and Thai.

    You may book a free trial class for one of our adult Beginner classes (Muay Mai) via our website at www.wimbledonmuaythai.com/free-trial. Our Kids classes are suitable for kids of all levels. If you / they are 15 years or younger, please book into one of our Kids classes (Muay Dek). You / your child will need your / their own handwraps and gloves to participate in the class. For hygiene reasons, we do not have gear to borrow at the gym. We have various gear for sale at the gym.
  • I have / my child has done muay thai before and would like to book a free trial class, can you help me?
    You may book a free trial class for one of our adult Beginner classes (Muay Mai) via our website at www.wimbledonmuaythai.com/free-trial. If you'd like to attend our Muay Siam class or Open Pad / Sparring class for the first time, please contact us. Our Kids classes are suitable for kids of all levels. If you / they are 15 years or younger, please book into one of our Kids classes (Muay Dek). You / your child will need your / their own handwraps and gloves to participate in the class. For hygiene reasons, we do not have gear to borrow at the gym. We have various gear for sale at the gym.
  • I / my child do not own handwraps and/or gloves, can we still train?
    Unfortunately, you are unable to participate in our classes without your own handwraps and boxing gloves. For hygiene reasons, we do not have gear to borrow at the gym. We have various gear for sale at our gym.
  • Can you send me more information on your pricing and timetable?

  • I would like to put my membership on hold / cancel / vary my membership, can you help me?
    All direct debit memberships are managed by Debitsuccess. You may put your membership on hold or cancel by contacting Debitsuccess directly. You can find their contact details on your original sign up email, or at www.debitsuccess.co.nz. If you would like to change your direct debit membership to a different term, please see us at the front desk. Lump sum memberships are for a fixed term and non-refundable. We are not able to change your membership once purchased. If you would like flexibility in your membership, please look at our direct debit options.
  • I would like to join the Fighter membership, can you help me?
    You will need to have attended the Muay Siam class and been approved for the sparring classes before joining our Fighter membership. Please speak to us at the gym about this membership once approved to our sparring classes.
  • Do the kids classes follow the school terms / change over school holidays?
    Our kids classes remain the same times throughout the whole year. We only close / adjust our timetable over long weekends / public holidays and the Christmas / New Year period.
  • Do your memberships follow school terms?
    Our kids memberships do not follow school terms. Our direct debit kids membership is for a minimum term of 6 months (ongoing unless cancelled). You are able to put direct debit memberships on hold over school holiday periods. Our lump sum student membership is fixed for 3 months.
  • My child is a beginner, do they join the Beginner class or Kids class?
    Our Kids classes are suitable for kids of all levels. If your child is 15 years or younger, please book into one of our Kids classes. If your child 16 years or older, they may book into an adult beginner class (Muay Mai).
  • Is there parking onsite?
    There is limited parking onsite. Please park within the marked lines. Please DO NOT park on yellow markings. Please DO NOT park in front of the other businesses. If the parking lot is full, you will need to find street parking.
