We are a thai boxing gym in East Auckland, New Zealand bringing you an authentic, fun and safe training environment.
Muay thai, or thai boxing, is the 'art of eight limbs' involving kicking, punching, knee and elbow. Come join our gym where you can learn new skills and make new friends.
Established in Howick in November 2018, Wimbledon and Theresa opened Wimbledon Muay Thai with one goal in mind - to share their love of the sport and culture and make it accessible to everyone.

About Wimbledon
Wimbledon has trained in Muay Thai since the age of 6 years old, with his first
professional fight at the age of 7 years old. He has had over 200 professional fights
in Thailand. Over his career, he placed No.1 in Lumpinee Stadium, Rajadamnern Stadium and Omnoi Stadium. His last fight was a title fight that he won in 2013 in Thailand. He has taught muay thai for over 20 years in Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, China and New Zealand. He can speak English, Thai and Cantonese. Wimbledon's specialty is clinching and knee. With over 10 years of experience teaching in New Zealand, Wimbledon is well accustomed to the intricacies of the muay thai culture and practices in New Zealand.

OUR CLASSES
1
Kids classes
'Muay dek' are our kids classes. Starting from as young as 6 years old, our kids classes involve supervised pad / bag work, fitness and technique.
Our younger group (6-9yrs) will typically learn technique through pad work with trainers. Our older group (10-15yrs) will practice in partnered pad work. Our mixed aged classes (6-15yrs) will cater for both groups.

Adult fitness classes
'Muay mai' (beginners) and 'Muay siam' (fitness) are our adult fitness classes. Both classes involve pad / bag work, technique and fitness appropriate for each level.

Sparring classes
We have 3 sparring classes. Our Open pad/sparring class involve both padwork and sparring; Beginner sparring is an introductory class to sparring for members only; and Fighters class is our advanced class for our fighters only. All sessions involve sparring, clinching and fitness. Sparring classes require trainer approval to attend and full protective gear is required.
